BLDG Active, the makers of Active Skin Repair on fast-track for EPA approval
Company confirms proven effectiveness against coronavirus with its active ingredient HOCl
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – June 17, 2020 – BLDG Active™, the leader in delivering non-toxic cutting-edge medical technologies to the active lifestyle community, announces successful results allowing the company to fast-track its efforts for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approval of its HOCl technology against the coronavirus. Independent and accredited laboratory results have confirmed effectiveness of BLDG Active’s surface disinfectant against viruses similar to SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
“We have been working tirelessly to address this unprecedented situation and this is a critical step for BLDG Active to be able to provide a natural solution to help combat the coronavirus on hard surfaces,” said Justin Gardner, Founder & CMO, BLDG Active. “These successful results have allowed for an expedited amendment submission to the U.S. EPA under the Viral Emerging Pathogen Program and also to add a human coronavirus claim” he added.
HOCl is the active antimicrobial ingredient in the BLDG Active line of disinfectant offerings which is produced through electrolyzing salt & water. This proprietary formulation will be manufactured at its ISO certified cleanroom facility in California.
“We will remain steadfast to our mission and will do everything in our power to help everyone stay clean and healthy,” Gardner added. “We will also be donating a portion of all profits to coronavirus related non-profits to help aid in the recovery and support our local communities.”
