SAN DIEGO, Calif. – May 30, 2019 – BLDG Active™, the leader in bringing environmentally responsible cutting-edge medical technologies to the active outdoor community, announces a partnership with Changing Tides Foundation, a non-profit established by a group of female surfers and adventurers as a catalyst to connect global travelers with local causes. Teaming up with local organizations in communities around the world, Changing Tides works to address social, environmental, health and safety concerns specific to those locations.
BLDG Active has created a new kind of medical company, allowing greater access to innovative, effective and non-toxic medical products to consumers globally. The brand’s unconventional strategy and commitment provides solutions that not only work, but are better for people and the environment. BLDG’s flagship product, ACTIVE Skin Repair, a non-toxic, biodegradable and natural regenerative wound and skin repair spray and hydrogel, has garnered a cult-like following from athletes and outdoor enthusiast globally.
“At BLDG Active, we believe if you love something, you have a duty to protect it,” said Justin Gardner, founder. “We’re proud to partner with environmentally conscious organizations, like Changing Tides Foundation, to further our dedication to forging a more sustainable future for generations of athletes and adventurers to come,” he said.
Changing Tides Foundation collaborates with eco-minded brands, like BLDG Active, encouraging travelers to adventure consciously, using eco-friendly, reusable and non-toxic gear, leaving behind the smallest footprint possible while on their travels in order to preserve the beauty of the places visited and the health of those they work with.
“We’re enthusiastic about a non-toxic product that aids healing and aligns with our ethos of creating a healthier future,” said, Becky Mendoza, Executive Director of Changing Tides Foundation. “We are constantly in remote locations where accidents happen and we are exposed to the elements, having ACTIVE Skin Repair takes the worries of infections away so we can focus on our work,” she said.
One of the programs BLDG Active has had the ability to support is the first-ever Community Compost Movement (CCM) which launched on the North Shore of Oahu. The CCM is a Changing Tides Foundation program aimed to divert residential food waste from the landfill and put the carbon back into the soil. Community members are given a container to put food waste in, then the containers are picked up each week and swapped out for a new one. The scraps are taken to the farm and used to create nutrient-rich soil to spread Aloha through the growth of food.
BLDG Active is proud to be a 1% for the Planet company, donating 1% of all sales to environmental organizations doing work on the front lines.
